ELIZABETH PETERS
Born
and raised in Illinois, Elizabeth Peters is the author of over thirty acclaimed
mysteries, twelve of which follow the adventures of Egyptologists Amelia Peabody
Emerson, her husband Radcliff Emerson, their son Ramses and ward Nefret.
She has also written over twenty-five suspense novels under the pseudonym,
Barbara Michaels. An Agatha Award-winning author, Ms Peters earned her Ph.D. in
Egyptology from the University of Chicago's famed Oriental Institute at the age
of 23 under her real name, Dr. Barbara Mertz.
At this writing she currently resides in Fredrick, Maryland in an historic
farmhouse with her six cats and two dogs.
